Gently Serene, Dreamy, mystical, spiritual, deep breath, hot coffee, hot cocoa, marshmallows, warm gloves, soft scarf, hope, joy, peace, acceptance, dreams, friends,.

These are just some random thoughts that come into my mind when I look at this piece.
How does it make you feel or what do you think of seeing it?

It was a breath of fresh air for me to paint this large again and look forward to more larger works.
All the best,
~Rebecca

small things

I hope everyone has had a wonderful Thanksgiving, we have been blessed with many things to be thankful for.
As a seasonal plein air painter I have been so thankful for the weather here in North East Ohio, it has been gorgeous being that it's the end of November we should have snow but we have temps in the high 50s and low 60s today.

I have grabbed hold of the days and been busy working on a 2 ft by 4 ft. painting that the weather has cooperated wonderfully with similar days back to back.

I have to get ready for the cold weather coming and have thought of working from photos but I love working outside onsite for the beginning of every painting is an absolute essential for me. I could go and on about the why's.

So the only thing I would love to invent for the coming sub temps would be heated paint brush handles, and a warm palette it's my hands that suffer the most.

ok gotta run,
All the best,
~Rebecca

Horizon Sparkle Glow
12" x 12"
Oil painting on gallery wrap canvas

This piece was painted plein air with brushes and knife, onsite as the sun snuck it's warm glow through what was a very gray overcast day. The kinda day that makes you think of eeyore hiding in his thistle patch.

All the best,
Rebecca

I love how the sun eats it way through any trees that stand in it's way over powering the leaves and branches reaching straight through to you.
