I have a wonderful quote from 120 years ago that is just as true today.

"It's my constant hope that I am not working for myself alone.
I believe in the absolute necessity of a new art of colour, of design and of artistic life.
And if we work on that faith, it seems to me, there is a chance that we do not hope in vain."

~ Vincent Van Gogh 1888

The Last of Winter

With Spring coming in full colors and earthly renewal I am looking forward to growing in my art work.
I am going to go boldly through the coming months following nature's inspirations wherever they lead me.

My over thinking can only be sorted out through action.
There are answers in my art work that I want to discover and they can only be found through painting.

What will remain constant is :
Make it Beautiful
Express with passion
Celebrate Joy
and this quote from a recent buyer of my artwork.

"Thank you for capturing the beautiful things in this world that the rest of us can only retain a fleeting memory of before it passes"

Wishing you a week of beauty!
Rebecca

art-o-mat® Update C08

This time tomorrow 49 boxes of art will be on their way to the North Carolina for the art-o-mat®.

Puzzle No. C08
63 pieces of a Winter Sunset Painting in oil.

I would like to thank SweetWolf, a seller on etsy who kindly sent me a dozen or more empty cigarette boxes for this project.
I upcycled them by spray painting the boxes gold and a black stencil of my initials RG on the backs.

There are 39 single boxed pendants and 10 surprise boxes that have two interlocking puzzle pieces.
Kinda like the old Best Friends Forever necklaces.

This time I only kept a few. One for me, one single and one double for sale through my estore.

One to keep and One to Give,(see more pictures and purchase) they will be shipped together in the recycled gold box with two mini copies of the original painting and silver plated 18inch necklaces included.

Here is the single pendant available now.

Click here for more info and pics.

I wish you beauty every moment this week.

Early April Update

Here's one shot of Dan's sculptures at his show.
We had a great time and the kids can't wait to goto another opening.
I love how his work celebrates joy in nature.

Good News Hint-coming in the next few weeks I am going to be having art work accepted into a gallery in Cleveland, some brand new and some need a few finishing touches.

art o mat update coming too.

All the best,
Rebecca
