Sunset Meditation Triptych Plein Air Painting

Sunset Meditation

Here is my new plein air triptych painting I just finished.
each panel measures 12in by 25in
oil on gallery wrap canvas. you can click it to see it larger.

Painting is the most freeing thing I do,
it's the one activity I engage in to let myself go.
It is the one time my cluttered go go mind that is always multitasking making sure every end is tied, every need of our kids is met and every to do is done,
is washed over with peace and the moments I'm experiencing flow through me.

The more I can let myself go the more life is transferred onto my canvas.
This is why I love plein air painting.
and realize there's no turning back.
It is just as essential to my well being as it is to my art that I create from life as it's happening.

What is one thing you do where your mind and spirit rest?

All the best,
Rebecca

My Eggplant!

I am so happy to share my eggplant I just received from Laura Gentry!! especially made for me with the text "Drunk on Nature".
She couldn't have made a better one for me. Laura understands me and my art better than some people close to me. I am so thankful to have met her.

If you ever get the chance to buy one from an art o mat machine near you, go for it.
here is a link to the locations of art o mats http://artomat.org/machinesbystate.html
or you can hop over to her website and buy one right now.

Have a great day,
find the beautiful it's everywhere around you!

Art-O-Mat and more goodies

I found that my link is up on the artomat

artist page.
Super cool since I have wanted to be a part of this for a very long time.
I made a great friend Laura Gentry that I met on myspace who has produced hundreds of interactive eggplants for the Art*o* Mat, the owners then send in photo's of themselves with their little eggplants. Laura is going to be sending one especially made for me, I can't wait, Thank you Laura;) here's her blog http://strayeggplant.blogspot.com/
many thanks to her I'm going to be making another piece (s) of artwork for the art*O*mat and am stirring ideas now.

I admit I've never seen a YouTube video,
so this one was my first, sent by my dear friend Robin Lemon,
Thank you girly,
I invite you to see it
here is the link,
FREE HUGS, I love the music too by sick puppies;)

I am finally getting off my cp, my website is done for now....
there are still some firefox kinks to work out and as many web authors know
~A website is only considered finished, for a moment~ then you update it.
I am glad to have learned over this past month some needed steps in css design and the beauty of using an external style sheet that will make updating the overall design of the site much easier!
I have had many loose ends that are now almost tied up and been reading a lot too.

Despite the bitter temps here in Ohio I'm heading out to paint!!! finally and am excited to begin so I'll leave you now with the fortune from my fortune cookie a couple days ago.

"Be patient, even an egg will walk in time"
All the best,
Rebecca;)
